なぜデザインを仕事にしたの？ Why did you choose design as your career?
Anyway, I love design! My first encounter with design was when I was self-publishing a novel I was writing as a hobby. Naturally, a book of novels needs a cover. But at the time, I had no contacts who could design a cover for me. I had no choice but to design the cover myself! I did it just as I saw fit, and ended up with a cover that was well received by those around me.
I thought, “Design might be interesting,” and started studying design. At first, I taught myself, but then I enrolled in a design school and continued my studies while engaging in friendly competition with my peers. The world of design is very deep! There is no end to my studies. I will continue to study constantly!
And if the design skills I have learned can help someone else, I couldn’t be happier!
